Course: Woodland Hill Climb
Length: 1 mile
Ascent: 140 metres (approx)
Course record: <not yet ridden>
Club record: <not yet ridden>
Starting at the cattle grid located by Yeat House, this
course rises 140m over 1 mile up to Subberthwaite Common. The course never
settles, with a constantly changing gradient ensuring its difficulty in
'hitting a rhythm'. The climb finishes level with a small rocky outcrop just
after a place for car parking.
Where is it?
Starting at the cattle grid by Yeat House, heading up to Subberthwaite
Common. From Grizebeck, take the road directly after the Grizebeck hill
climb start. Carry on through a gated road until you reach a cattle grid
next to a house with a steep hill running off to the right. Grid reference
SD2498870. SATNAV- I have checked and as far as I can tell the nearest postcode
LA20 6DG, but please check this before setting off.
Parking and Safety
Parking for around 5 cars on the moorland at the top of the climb. More
parking along the Woodland road after the finish.
Requested that riders do not descend the course when racing is underway.
There is another road that loops back to the start further along the
Woodland road.
