Coast Road 21 - new date and time - June 26th at 19:00
Dear All,
Sorry to have cancelled Wednesday's 21 mile TT. The weather played games and ultimately a decision had to be made that may not have pleased everyone (especially as it faired up within seconds of the decision). With hindsight the 6 pm start time was not wise what with work commitments etc. Therefore, the event and competition will be settled on the night of June 26th at 19:00 hr instead of running a 10 on Haverthwaite. If successful, I'll keep this as the date for future years.
The event will be for the new Furness Trophy and as such is an open competition between Barrow Central Wheelers and Lakes Road Club riders. It was originally to be the settled on the lowest aggregate of the fastest two riders from each club. However, having two riders from each club may not always be possible on the night, so it will now be settled simply by whichever individual rider from either club is fastest. This will compliment the Hill Climb Series as an open competition between the two clubs.
